Rogue one was definitely really bad on almost every single level. If you are small minded and give in completely to fan service you probably loved it, but as a movie everything about it was done pretty poorly.

The best part imo was the end, not a lot of movies have the balls to kill off the good guys to such an extent. But their deaths were minimized by the fact that they didn't do proper character development and make you actually care about the characters. So the deaths were just neat from a "good for them" perspective and didn't really have any emotional impact whatsoever.

Still not as bad as hayden christensen imo

I still got some hope left for Adam Driver

No need to hate on the actor, he did a good job considering he was a new actor and had George as the writer+director.

Even great actors can't do shit with bad writing+directing+literally everything else George did.

Not hating the actor. Just saying his performance was bad due to no acting experience or whatever the reason.
Also Drivers acting was on point imo but like you said it ain't an actors fault that writing sucks sometimes.
If your script says " take the mask of and turn into bitching 15yo" not much you can do about it.

The thing is....that scene works for this character.

Kylo is unbalanced, angered, confused, and irrational actions fit right into his role.

When people say he is "whiny".......I say he is developing.

I saw TFA in theaters. It didn't blow me away but it would have annoyed me more to NOT see it (in order to be able to judge for myself).

Avoided Rogue One due to TFA's mediocrity, but when I downloaded it later it was 10/10 definitely better.

For now, I"m leaning towards not bothering with Episode 8. I feel like I basically know what kind of movie it will be and I won't lose out on anything by waiting to d/l it whenever.

i loved both tfa and rogue one.

must be small minded and susceptible to fan service. Rogue one - having watched several times, was damn near perfect. TFA, well, it's just magic having canon movies for this saga that don't suck, so i'll eat em all up.

I feel the same way.

The Force Awakens was the first legit good Star Wars movie in what, like 40 years? I'll take it.

I think 8 would be a lot better than 7.
it's gonna be real hard to make a worse movie than TFA, considering it felt like a new hope reboot.
definitely enjoyed rogue one more than TFA
