Except it isn't. Superman didn't want to fight, he wasn't trying, he wanted Batman's help. Bruce was legitimately trying to kill Superman. Not to mention Superman had literally never seen kryptonite before. He definitely had absolutely no idea what the fuck was going on.

I'm not saying the way they handled the story was done well, but it doesn't deserve the hate it gets.

Superman even said in the movie he might have to kill him. Which i thought was off character aswell.would make me happy if he let him win lol

In some way, when you see how long the fight was, you can say he 'let' him win without really doing it on purpose, everytime he let batman take back his breath.

Half the movie was an advertisement

i hoped you watched the extended cut. from what i hear the one shown in theaters is actually quite horrible compared to the extended cut.
