Did you enjoy the plot, script and acting overall? I thought it was dreadful most of the time.
I personally felt the actors had great chemistry together. I enjoyed the way they did the back story and how they handled the creation of the team. The whole dinner scene was probably my favourite part of the film. There was obviously a bit of an imbalance issue as far as character development goes.
Only deadshot, Rick, harley and katana felt properly developed, diablo was halfway there. But with that said slipknot didn't need development as the choosen exploding man(theres one with every new suicide squad lineup), and the line "they treated him like a monster so he became a monster" was all we got for killer croc... but I think that was enough really. Boomerang was the main guy I feel could have been worked on more, but if he didn't make the cut for the next film it is understandable.
The big bad didn't have a lot of development, but she had enough imo. Old ass metahuman that wants to be worshiped as a God. It was once again only a small scene, but the scene explained her entire motivation and also made her defeat make sense. She could have easily killed the team but she wanted them to worship her, harley gave her that, then cut her heart out.
Overall I enjoyed it more than either avengers film because it actually felt like there was something at stake, I cared if the team succeeded or not and the team almost didn't succeed, it even felt at times as if they wouldn't.
The only way marvel seems to be able to create tension in their films is through inter-team fighting. Marvel heroes are always against villains weaker than the heroes by drastic amounts and the whole team not getting along shit is getting annoying. It was refreshing to see a film where the 'good' guys might not have won due to external forces rather than internal ones.
