I think harry potter and lotr did book to movie very well. I don't think game to movie has ever been done well, best choice I guess is Warcraft... Movie to game, spiderman 2 probably the only example of being done well (and purely because of the web swinging).

Game to book has been multiple times well, but usually by making their own story within the lore, such as the diablo sin war books, not sure if that counts though.

There is a lot of possibility for game to movie if any of the writers/directors actually cared enough, but they all seem to do it for the already established/guaranteed audience.

I think this is impossible, if Kojima would write the script the movie would be 10++h long.
the games are very cinematic though, so I think there is no need for a movie. same goes for Mass Effect

The only thing I want to see is Bioshock, a movie well done could have some sick atmosphere.



the silent hill 1 director was a huge fan of the game franchise, I think he did a good adaptation of the games.
In my opinion the best videogame movie adaptation.

morrowind elder scrolls 3 moive would be so much better, the story line and whole atmosphere was dark as fuck and very trippy. Best RPG game i have ever played, it was like MMO but single player, used to grind for days and days in search of artifacts and hidden locations, even then i still only discovered like 50% of the map xDD
