This is the most accurate statement I've seen thus far on the subject. The arguments that they're hunting dogs, not killing dogs is just completely idiotic. The owner is a fucked up sadist (docile creatures are not something he would ever speak highly of)..... constantly at this location they talk about how savage the dogs are.. it doesn't even make sense that docile pure hunting dogs could exist in the horrific conditions that have been described in the show and books.
Would have been easy enough to have the horse trample one and then visually show the others run off in fear. They may be savage, but you'd think from their brutal upbringing they'd be smart enough to know a fucked up situation when they see it and get the hell out of dodge. Would have hurt the budget a bit, but this show has to have almost an endless supply of money at this point; and then we'd have a scene that isn't being scrutinized to death by cretins.
