I enjoyed this more than django. I love being able to sit through a long movie that takes place primarily in one place relying on great dialog and minimal action scenes.
It wasn't all that that made it my least favorite in particular. I knew what kind of movie it was like going into it, and I am as big of a Tarantino fan as the next guy, but I didn't think this movie had "great" dialogue. It had
some great dialogue, and lots of tedious dialogue as well. His tedious dialogue got carried by all the great performances by everyone in the cast, so it made it a lot better. That tedium has always been a style in all of his films, really... it just seemed a tad more annoying here. I mean, just try to compare the dialogue here to like... Inglorious Basterds. Also, the narration part after the intermission was kind of silly and dumb, but Tarantino seems to always throw in something silly and dumb into every one of his movies nowadays (like the nitrate film segment in Basterds to bring up that movie again).
All in all, as I said before... I still did enjoy it, but I still place it as his lowest ranking film for me. It's just easy to point out negatives.
