Guess I shouldn't assume things. Typically when people making comments like his, they tend to just be condescending simply because someone doesn't agree with them.

Interesting so far, the makeup sucks, but who cares right, he is supposed to look like an actual person.

I remember Johnny Depp from basically the start of his career in 21 Jump Street TV series, he actually
played a real person, none of the things people remember him for... but hey, he has a universal acting
quality about him, and those that only recognise for the Pirate sequels etc and other movies are just
naive to notice his universal roles in TV and other movies.

Why do people keep saying his makeup sucks? Have any of you actually seen Whitey Bulger? They did a pretty good job.

Probably just because he doesn't look like himself at all, not very many actors willing to do that.
