You don't exactly sound like the kind of person who would understand that movie in the first place.

Went to see it last night and it was really good. Visuals were pretty amazing.

I've only got a few issues... They went out of their way to make the black hole and the wormhole look realistic. They wanted a storyline that was as close to reality as possible...but then they just guessworked what would happen inside the event horizon. That 5th dimension thing tying gravity to quantum physics. I haven't ever read anything about that, yet I try to stay relatively informed about those things. Felt like they just didn't know.

Also their proximity to the black hole should have more or less spagettified them.

Also their ease to walk on the water planet with 2.6G was kinda odd.

Also you could tell the actors really didn't know how to place some of the science terms.

Anyway, good movie, insane visuals. Worth a watch in theater.

Pretty sure it was 1.3 x earths gravity not 2.6 When they said 130% ... they meant it as 30% more. 100% of earths gravity would mean same amount, not double.

Yeah the science only makes sense up to a point. And in the end it definitely falls apart.

Watched it in IMAX and that was really quite the experience. Visually it's definitely a 10/10 but the script and some acting screwups means this isn't film of the year for me. I probably don't even rate this as Nolan's best film.

What I love about Nolan is his ambition in the concept and themes behind his films and how he manages to blend practical effects and CGI so well. There's also something to be said about this film having far more sentimentality than any of his previous films, which I always thought lacked in both his Batman trilogy and other films.

It has some amazing scenes though, and the shots from outside the spacecraft are beautiful, especially with the silence that accompanies it.

They said 260% unless I BADLY misheard.

The frozen planet was 80%, the water one was 260.

if i had never watch stargate series this could be a hit
but most of the movies are repeats from the same camera angle and honestly the plot was not really there. althogh well put.

felt like a modified copy of space oddesy for a 2014 version.
with no allegory but replaced with ideas around love and gravity.
consider its nolans work i just dont think he is the right director for this kind of super scifi based movie.
i am kind of glad i watched it on imax because there was like no talking at all lol.

coz jesus
on point though, maby water moves slower with gravity pushing it down thus slow waves, they are floating because suit. bouyancy could also push them up,eitherway the whole movie isnt based on logic because black hole isnt observable.

Black holes are observable through gravitational lensing which is exactly what happened in the film. Scientifically there are only minor issues people could have.

If that's the only problem with the movie, then I'll definitely enjoy it. I've long ago stopped expecting science fiction to portray science in any kind of truly exact manner, it really doesn't matter.

You mean that guy who's made five average-good movies in his entire career? Yep, our shit is definitely weak...
