I'm not arguing that this particular show is smart or funny. I think it takes a over-the-top laugh track to tell the brainless masses what to find humorous.

Dance monkey, dance.

I went to a viewing of an episode in 2012 when I went to cali for a few weeks. The only times the audience didn't laugh was during the scenes that are pre-recorded that they just show us on screens. They also keep the punch lines they think are gonna make people laugh more for scenes that are just ending so nobody laughs endlessly over the same joke, but people do laugh a ton and they have signs to tell us when to stfu.

There's also quite a lot of people at a viewing. They have to count how many they need and send everyone else back home because tons of people show up.

Why would I be butthurt over not finding something funny? It's not hard to turn that shit off if it's apparent what a waste of time it will be. The jokes are flat and cater to baby boomers discovering lol cats about a decade late.

So again, you're belittling people who find something funny when you don't.

You're saying there's a laugh track, I'm saying there isn't because I was literally there.

You're saying the jokes are basically for lesser people and I'm saying you're a fucking idiot for insulting people who simply enjoy a god damn motherfucking TV show. You know? Light 7PM entertainment at diner time after a tough Monday at work?

You're like a more irritating fat comic book guy from the simpsons.

I'm dropping my opinion in this shitty thread and any other threads I so please. Just for future reference.

Awwww, I insulted something you like... Grow the fuck up.

Sorry, I don't need mindless "7pm entertainment from a roughy toughy day at work" boohoo. Poor you...

You give off the impression of one of those mindless gym rats that think they have all the answers to life figured out because they "lift" and take care of their body. I bet you've never picked up a book in your entire fucking life, to read for pleasure. Only when you have to for school or something, right? Let me know how close I am homie. Cause' I got a feeling I'm not far off.

Now, tell me how me how I suck again, my memory is hazy...

lol

At least now I can precisely put my finger on the issue. If you're the kind of person who stereotypes me for training 10 hours a week, then no wonder everything you say is retarded.

I guess we're done here.

Not stereotyping at all. Just calls it like I sees it. Previous posts indicate to me someone who doesn't do too much free-thinking. If you put down the weights every once and while, and picked up a book, you might be able to have a greater social grasp of your personality complex.

And here's a nickles worth of free advice... Your arms are done brah. Me thinks more "leg days". You look like a upside-down spinning top. The only thing your "hard day" consists of, is too many kids trying to sneak a fake ID past you at the door. Enjoy being a glorified door holder the rest of your life. And, I guess you didn't READ where they linked bodybuilding to heart disease. Enjoy clutching the ol' chest for the last time at 50. RIP bro.

I did try watching it a few times because of its rep, but I found it quite unbearable. That being said, I think it's unfair to compare people based purely on their sense of humor.

For example, someone who has watched a lot of TV will easily see through the flimsy dialogue in TBBT. In contrast, someone who isn't that familiar with TV would have a hard time following the jokes in Arrested Development.

Hypothetically, let's say you traveled back in time to 1900 and showed both these comedies to a group of well-read, intelligent adults. I think they would laugh at TBBT more than Arrested Development despite the fact that Arrested Development is a much smarter show.
