It is a FOX show and their writers have a tendency to be ADHD

They have fucked up so many shows, but I enjoyed it all so far

gotham is exactly what the preview tells you what gotham will be...

Damn, why so much flak for this show?

I think they nailed the feel of early days Gotham. It's gritty, even the interrogation room walls look like they're from a rundown building. The lighting is awesome. I like where the story is going, the guy playing Penguin is fkin awesome. Can't wait for other villains to flesh out more.

Because they want batman and fail to realize that this is a reimagining of the origin story even though it was advertised as such. Plus, they're hipsters.
