I'm sure wolverine is the most famous and recognizable x-men character to the general public.  That might be why there has been so much focus around him.

You can't claim this because you do not know insider information.  It's not at all logical to state this.  You have no idea what's going on.

What if one day, the executives of every country decided that once a day, someone comes into your home and fucks you in the ass. I'm sure you let that go on for a quite a while without caring too much about also...

Grow a set of balls and stop supporting Hollywood cycle of bullshit. It starts and ends with every single one of us. Wanna know why we haven't gotten a better movie yet? Cause no one has said 'no' to all their failed attempts. And as long as we keep saying 'yes' to every single thing they put out, they have no reason to change. Regardless of whether or not I ever see a true X-Men, Spider-Man, or whatever movie, I'll die knowing I didn't give a single dollar to any of their "Wolverine 3: More Wolverine (and maybe some of his mutant friends)" or Amazing Spider-Bullshit.

Movies to me are for entertainment.........

If I'm entertained, I don't have a problem. I don't care if something "sticks to the original."

What matters to me is that it is either good, or bad...Would I see it again, or would I not. Is it worth buying or not.

Go ahead and boycott Hollywood movies, nobody cares.

Sorry, but I am definitely NOT boycotting ALL Hollywood movies. Believe it or not, there are actually a lot of people out there who care about their art. Anyone at Fox working on the X-Men movies just aren't some of them.

And that's where you have to understand that there is the "art" aspect of movies, and there is an "entertainment" aspect of movies.

Sorry, but the consensus for comic book movies shows they are for entertainment.

Sorry, but you seem to forget that film-making is an "art form". Hence why art schools offer it. Hollywood has deviated quite a bit from that notion over the years...

Driving a car is "art"

The word art is so ambiguous. I guarantee that a large portion of the public view movies for entertainment and not "art."

Film making has changed quite a bit for being about a century old.....So yes, Hollywood deviating from the "art form" as you claim shouldn't be surprising.

Just because they have, doesn't mean they should have. Or, does it justify my supporting it...

Sorry, but there are no "laws" that says they can't. Times change, you just can't accept it.

Do I agree with them changing? No, but I still watch movies for entertainment purposes but still very much intrigued by those movies that give me the "wow" factor, solid movies.
