I agree but disagree, the acting in true crime was a lot better, but expected due to their cast. And also since they are on 2 opposite ends of the crime idea hard to compare them.
Debatable indeed, some of the cast in the wire absolutely killed it
Stringer bell, Bubbles, Omar, Lester, Marlo to name a few were incredibly acted! Shit even that little gangster snoop
And I absolutely loved true detective myself, just doesn't come close to how good the wire is as a five season collective, at least that's my opinion!
I recently re-watched (the wire), enjoyed it way more second time
