I absolutely loved the first episode. I have read a lot of mixed reviews on it, but I can't understand why people are unhappy with it. I thought it did a good job of setting the pace of all (or at least most) of the main characters, refreshing our memories of what events in the past are relevant right now in the the beginning of the coming season, introduced some new faces well, etc. Oberyn Martell is already MVP for me. Guy is a badass. Lots of good dialogue throughout the first episode as well. I am really satisfied with it overall.





It was better than some of the other fights in the show, imo.

"What the fucks a lommy?"

"Some men name their swords" "Some cunts"

"I know if one more words oozes out of your cunt mouth I'm going to have to eat every chicken in here"

Had me giggling.

That entire scene was hilarious.

And I had the biggest erection when Arya went HAM.

"Tell your father that I'm here in the city, and that the Lannister's aren't the only ones who pay their debts."

That's not saying much tbh.

Don't get me wrong, I love the show. Just the swordfighting.... ugh (this is a flaw in pretty much 99.9% of movies/shows that have swordfighting, so don't sweat it guise)

They replaced Naharis?
