And the 2011 movie was a perfect prequel, as it covered all bases set forth in the 1982 movie.... Or, did you not even pay attention to that movie AT ALL and not notice the part where they go to another base camp... ***HENCE, where the 2011 movie took place....

It's been a while since I saw the 1982 movie, and I've never seen the 2011 one...

? I never said I saw the 2011 movie, I never said it was bad, I never said anything about it. It doesn't matter, it was a prequel. I was talking about the remake (1982) of the original (1951).

Anyway, after all this commenting, I think I'll comment on the op.
Looks interesting. Remakes rarely do better than the originals critically, but that doesn't mean it can't be entertaining. Look forward to seeing it, though I won't pay $15 to watch it right away.
