Spartacus was a fantastic series. But the character Caesar and his entanglement with Crassus didn't really intrigue me enough to make me want to follow their political Roman exploits after what I deemed was the truly interesting story, Spartacus' rebellion. Now that it's over, I am satisfied with what Deknight has given us.
If it's Steven Deknight's writing that you guys really like, then you should set your attention towards his next show Incursion. But we don't know if he even thinks he has any more meaningful material for the Spartacus world. And if he doesn't, but he ends up writing about it anyway just to submit to the plea of his fans, I doubt we would like the results.
EDIT: Also, I agree with the troll. Vikings is nowhere near Spartacus. The fighting choreography has much less effort, it's harder to sympathize with the characters, and the writing feels a lot more trite and contrived. Also, the general lack of production value given by the much lower budget sadly makes it less appealing to the immediate senses.
Just bore of watching reality tv and most tv series now suck. Just want to see more. Well they introduced crasssus, caeasar and Pompey in spartacus series, Make next series "Battle of Rome"
