I see your point there, he's a bit over the top here and there, and it seems that only his opinion is valid. He's put a lot of work into this so I guess he tries to defend or better say justify his work a bit too hard.
Regarding your point with him trying to find something that wasnt there, I cant completely agree with you. He has valid proof for every theory he gives and knowing that Kubrick was indeed into those subliminal messages it's worth checking out at least.
I dont agree with every statement he makes, however I can see some well done research and basic proof for the most important points, especially all those numbers taken out. Some of these scenes that matches the numbers may be pure coincide but I dont think that all of them are. It was indeed a great effort to put all that stuff together.

imo you should watch the movie and afterwards read the blog. I dont think it would ruin the movie, but it would indeed spoiler and you wouldnt get most of his theories simply because you havent seen the movie.
