What about the predictability part? Is it the same as the first few episodes where they introduce a few new special guest characters and the supposedly good guy is always the bad guy?

Well tbh I couldn't say. I personally didn't notice that, but maybe it is there. Once you watch so many episodes it's kinda hard to remember the first ones as well :P . It does get more complex though.

Not the most original show in general so in that manner I could see how you could say it is a bit predicable in ways. In others though the show is so random I don't see how you could ever predict the outcome.

Don't judge a show with four season on the first few episodes. There is a continuing theme that gets introduced mid season, really interesting and not many could guess certain outcomes in the season finales

Yeah, I've only seen 7 out of 80 episodes so I have a lot more episodes to watch. I'm definitely interested in it though and will continue watching it. I love sci-fi.

what i am looking for exactly:

- a storyline that connects the episodes
- futuristic setting
- not a comedy

series i've already seen:

stargate sg1, atlantis, universe
startrek voyager, enterprise, next generation, ds9
firefly
space above and beyond

might have seen more, cannot tease my brain to produce more names atm, but need something to watch in this genre, cuz i rly like to!

hope you guys/girls can come up with something watchable <3

I was going to say fringe.. but then I read:

- a storyline that connects the episodes

Fringe MEGA fails at that.

yup, that's why the best part of the series imo is the first 10 episodes of the 3rd season, because there is a connetion

Yeah, that no connection part is starting to piss me off. Each episode they show something amazing and really interesting at the very end and I'm dying to know what happens next with it but they forget all about it and never bring it up again. What a way to leave me with a cliffhanger forever.
