Watched Jackie Brown again, haven't seen it in quite a while 8/10

Being massive QT nerd, this is defiantly a kinda meh movie compare to his other movies, hardly any memorable scenes or epic dialogues. Just enjoyable movie with good acting and characters

Four Rooms - Liked the absurd humor in it, very entertaining.
Avengers: infinity War - Not a let down, didn't expect much but was entertaining all the way through, even liked the antagonist.
Juste la fin du monde - I am a huge Xavier Dolan fanboy, loved this movie.
Frances Ha - I could realy connect with the characters. Very good comming of age movie for an audience that is around 25-30 years old. Great movie.
Antiviral - Meh, tried to hard to bee artsy, but failed pretty hard. Didn't like it.
Europa Report - Pretty boring, the big reveal at the end was boring as well.
The Equalizer - Meh movie, pretty dumb. Expected more.
Man on Fire - Good action/revenge movie. Bit heavy on the cinematogrophy. Hard to keep track on what's going on with all the flashes and different camera angles.
Ready Player One - popculture reference the movie. Just felt soulless with boring characters and bad writing.
Game Night - Was entertaining, not my kind of humor though.

Black Panther - Mediocre

Deadpool 2 - Mediocre

Pacific Rim 2 - Worst thing I've seen recently.

Dark Society - Boring until the end, then it's pretty fucked up. Sick costume design.

Monster Squad - Goonies with monsters, pretty cool and fun

High Noon - Was alright, don't know if it deserves the "classic" status.

The Incredible Shrinking Man - Incredible special effects for it's time, just a pleasure to watch with all the cool ideas they had. Realy enjoyed it.

All of QT's movies are at least good, and because of that; it's hard to say which his worst is, but JB is without a doubt one of his worst ones, and I have no fucking idea how anyone could convince themselves otherwise...

Isn't it the second lowest rated of his from critics too? If every rating website has it in the bottom 3 for fans, and in the bottom 3 for critics, do you think calling it his best movie might be more your opinion based on you caring more about a female lead than an actually phenomenal movie?

Reservoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction
True Romance (my favorite)
The Hateful Eight
Kill Bill Vol 1+2
Django are all vastly superior to Jackie Brown, which is a good at best movie.

If we wanna talk about his worst screenplays, I'd give it to From Dusk Till Dawn. Inglorious Bastards didn't work for everyone and while I personally loved it, I can see it's overkill style might have been too much for some, and I could even put that down with Jackie Brown. Deathproof I still think it's boring and just okay (probably your second favorite) and that one is down with Brown too, but other than those, everything he's done a full screen play on (only counting full length movies here) or directed is better than Jackie Brown and his next three movies all look better too.

I probably do like it a lot because of the female lead, you're right. But I think mostly because it's an adaptation of an Elmore Leonard book. Tarantino is good, but I like his stuff when he has to be reined in just a little bit.
