The hate for the movie comes from fans being upset that the story was different than what they hoped for. As a movie it is not bad at all.

Hating a movie or story doesn't mean it is bad. It is hard for people to understand that apparently.

Honestly, it is sad because critics have stopped understanding this. Probably because critics now are just random assholes that started writing for some shit blog then got popular for being a dickhead and insulting everything. The entire industry has lost most of its integrity.

So specific storylines aside, the plot of the TLJ as a whole was logical without the presence of inconsistencies or holes?

The story about people and aliens in space that use a magical force to manipulate objects and people wasn't logical....wow great point I stand corrected....

people hate TLJ because it is bad story telling, and it retcons the whole series to that point.

people who use the "you guys just didnt like the content of the plot" are idiots. the content isnt the issue, its the coherency of it.

Rey being a mary sue. Finns several pointless missions. Poe's costly and pointless lessons learned. Leai's stupid force-space-walk. Snoke's utter pointlessness.

nothing built to anything, it was a drawn out struggle that culminated in a deus ex machinma which subverts the importance of every space battle in starwars to that point. vader and the emeperor could have been defeated by one drone piloted light speed ship at any time. or the deathstar for that matter. anyone could have just driven a massive ship at lightspeed right through the deathstar, or starkiller base. lol.

I actually laughed out loud twice during RoS. A few other people laughed, too.

The writing was so lackluster.... every single time Rey/Resistance needed something to get out of a jam, they got it immediately.

The FO ship coin made me laugh. They're some random planet going to meet that little gremlin thing and they happen to run into some woman Poe screwed over and put into massive debt. Lady gets her ass whopped by Rey. Rey does magical things and makes me admire Rey. Woman decides to not only help our merry gang of resistance. but give them an extremely valuable plot device they didn't know they needed to get onto the ship to rescue the undead Chewie.

Also, Hux.

I also laughed when they did the "gotcha" reveal that Chewie isn't dead. and 3CPO, and Kylo, and Rey, and you get the point lmao.

Luke was the exact same as Rey in the original trilogy....

In Poe's case how is a character learning from his mistakes and developing a bad thing....using that to say the movie is bad is beyond stupid.

The original trilogy had them blow up a death star with a single missile....yeah dude using lightspeed to blow up ships is so stupid

Snoke dying was literally no different than Darth Maul, Gran Moff Tarkin, or any other random villain dying.

Maybe if the new trilogy had 2 foot tall bears defeat the first order it would have been better.....or aliens that live underwater and are borderline mentally retarded that can stumble around and accidentally destroy an entire army....yeah TLJ sure was worse than those movies
