This plot outline is can be seen in a much broader scope of shows than just anime. If you see a strong correlation between this and anime, then it's probably because you've watched a lot of anime so you mind jumps to that connection.

Personally, I've watched zero anime in my life, yet i still see the base story from Stranger Things as recognizable tropes. But that doesn't mean that the show is not spectacularly well done. It absolutely IS well done.

naa i never watched anime besides dragon ball z for a bit but i kno how anime is and this is anime as fuck.

but yah its a cool show not tryin to bash it
