I guess no one is really forming their own opinions anymore, become someone somewhere has written an article with the same opinion as yours.

You mom really made a mistake with you, bud.

You're opinion using the term "mary sue" only sprung after the article was released.

Don't know what article, you're nitpicking.

Just keep living up to your name as you usually do.

There seems to be a misconception in this thread that "Mary Sue = perfect character" but that isn't what the term means.

Rey is not perfect, and it is not like she randomly beat kylo without any previous experience, the entire movie up to that point was basically about showing off that she is a very competent person. She spent her entire life surviving on her own, of course she can do things Luke/the average person couldn't do.

We meet Luke at the very beginning of his journey, of course he needed to train etc. Rey has already learned to fight and survive, all she needs now is force training.

Luke wasn't anything like a Mary Sue, you're so ignorant.

You are a sheep. Do you make any choices on your own?

The first post you said you liked the character Rey. Then you found an article on google saying she was a Mary Sue and now you hate her rofl.

You are is what is wrong with social media/the Internet.

It clearly showed Rey was very capable in hand to hand combat (which would come in handy in a lightsaber battle).

A much better example would be a rookie Kawhi vs LeBron after he got shot in the fucking side by a powerful blaster.

Obviously Kawhi would win.

They also made it very clear Kylo was very raw too. So it was more like a rookie Kawhi vs LeBron 3 years into his career after being shot.

So yeah your logic is very flawed.

Ur thinking too much of the bball players themselves when I was using them as reference being trained by them professionally.

If u think a person who was trained by Luke skywalker to be a Jedi at young age AND semi trained by Snoke with years of lightsabre training is any close to

an amateur who just has decent combat skills to defend herself & never seen or used a lightsabre for less than few days can even beat Kylo with an injury, then Idk. It's silly to me, even if he was injured. If he was really "crippled" he would've known that and retreated, rather than hunt them down lol.

They made it known Kylo wasn't trained. He was still young when he turned against Luke so he wasn't that far into his training with him. It must be a hard concept to grasp the fact that he was severely wounded too. They made it very clear throughout the movie how powerful that blaster was.
