Season 1, they showed the bad guy 1 time in earlier episodes also. So I guess they tried to stick with that here.
But in s1, they really showed us his life and so on, 1 on 1. S2, not so much.

That punk, was run' the parties, fine. Ofc he made alot of $, then he ofc got more from his fathers death, then he got most of the money that was stolen from Frank and Ray back.
In s1, they rolled around the "bad guys", the governor, his family, etc. Here... we had no idea he was friends with the mexicans... I mean seriously? That came out of no where, and seen only in the last few seconds of the finale.

Again, as I said, I loved the characters, the way they chose to accept their deaths and so forth.
I just feel, writer, got consumed by that part of the show, and lacked to give ppl a tad better ending, or at least a better explanation of it all.
^ is 100% true, I even watched the making of s2, and all the cast kept saying, writer was on set most of the time and his main goal was character build up.
