El desconocido (aka Retribution) (2015)

Ok action thriller. A constant adrenaline rush, but the plot has some inconsistencies and it's over all pretty much predictable. There's also too much screaming and hysteria for my taste. But it's entertaining and I guess that's enough.

Datong (aka The Chinese Mayor) (2015)

Chinese documentary movie about the mayor of Datong (a depressed mining town with insane levels of pollution), who unilaterally relocated a third of the city's population in order to demolish thousands of homes and recreate the historical walls, monuments and architecture of ancient times, so as to attract tourism and make Datong great again. You get a peak at what urban life in China is like outside of major cities like Beijing or Shanghai, and how modern chinese politics and bureaucracy work. Pretty interesting.

Dog eat Dog - some cool looking set pieces but everything in between those shots is pretty boring.
The Italian Job (1969) - Probably the best heist movie I have seen up to this point, including the best car chasing szene I have ever seen. Realy liked it.
Hitchcock - Don't know, just didn't catch me
Universal Soldier - A perfect role for Van Damme since he can always show the same grimm looking face, fas a fun movie with some cool ideas.
The Crying Game - Pretty good, lost me in the middle part but got interesting again. Decent.
Taare Zameen Par - I tried, but after an hour I had to quit. Don't want to say that I hated it, which wouldn't be fair since ist competently made, but I couldn't stand it ^^
Jungle 2 Jungle - has been decades since I watched it, loved every minute of it
Last Man Standing - Meh, Bruce Willis shooting guns, boring plot, skippable.
Ghost World - Since I've read the comic I thought I should check out the movie and I have to say it's pretty good. They nailed the casting and cought the tone of the source material.
Stargate (1994 - the movie) - Nothing life changing but a decent sci-fi movie.

Yeah it's a good one, made me fall in love with Thora Birch! It's a shame all her other output is b-grade stuff, aside from that one and American Beauty.

Just checked her imdb page, damn she was Spacey's daughter in american beauty, couldn't name any other role she played.

Maybe I will check out Hocus Pocus

Yeah, I have no idea what went wrong for her. A couple of massive roles followed by absolute zilch for 17 years.
