Be With Me (2005)

Typical movie with 3 story lines that crossover towards the end. Not a fan of these in general, and I wasn't too captivated by this one. One of the stories was good, the other two were meh. The pace is very, very slow and out of the 93 minutes of film there's only a total of 2 and a half minutes of dialog (literally, this is a fact), so it's obviously not for everyone... and tbh it wasn't really for me either. It's not bad, but the overall execution could have been better... I'd have liked this more if they had just taken the 3 stories and made a medium length film for each one of them.

incoherent, terrible ending.

How was it incoherent?

aliens see the future.. they need the humans help for something that will happen in 5,000 years. they can see the future enough to know they'll need human help but not what is going to happen so that they could rectify the issue themselves? doesn't make sense. poor writing.

film tried to say they don't experience time linearly as we do.. which is stupid. they communicate with us in a linear fashion and they are here, now, asking for help with something that will happen in 5,000 years, betraying that they do in fact perceive time as linear, or are at least capable or rearranging fragments into coherent patterns.. which is to say the same thing.

they can also project images of the future into a human's mind. but they can't get by without human assistance in 5,000. they can manipulate time and are vastly technologically superior but they NEED human help. the climax of the film was just stupid. the rest was interesting. most people probably won't/don't care. I thought that was a pretty fail ending for a movie which millions of dollars was invested in.
