Road Show (1941)
As a big fan of some of the Harold Lloyd movies Hal Roach had directed, I was looking forward to seeing a Roach comedy without Lloyd. Unfortunately, it's not very good, although it had some funny moments.
There's a lot of dated casual racism though... and I do mean a lot. Like in the scene that goes from 1:01:30 to 1:02:55 (watch here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hysS7MY5-YQ )... yeah, that one just amused me because of how wrong it feels today, but there are a bunch of similar gags throughout the film and it does get to a point where it's kind of awkward, even for someone like me who is aware of the historical context and doesn't get offended by these kind of things.
