finally watched Boyhood

it was alright, interesting concept. I liked when it showed the true nature of the democrat voter, when the father encouraged his children to steal.

M (1931)

Excellent and pretty much flawless crime/suspense movie by Fritz Lang. The subject (child molester and murderer) also seems ahead of it's time. The middle part of the movie is perhaps too long, but other than that it's a great movie and I really enjoyed it.

I would die for a good Fritz Lang collection on Bluray/DVD.
Just yesterday I bought the 3 Disc special edition for Metropolis. i only saw a commented version of it.
Looking forward in seeing it again but I have to be in the right mood ^^

Me too... he's one of my favourite directors of all time. His movies are always at least decent, and he has so many great ones... most notably some film noir masterpieces and some of the best silent movies of all time.

The Murnau Foundation has some great releases for Fritz Lang films but sadly no good collection.
Browsing their catalogue just made me realise how many films I have yet to see ^^

Loved the scene where he said that he can smell his enemies.
Other than that it didn't offer anything memorable.

ohh yeah, and the 4 way rocket launcher.

I laughed my ass off at the rocket launcher, it also had some funny one liners but overall I don't think it's amazing or anything just watchable and semi-entertaining. Arnold / Van damme and Stallone are actors I like to watch films by when I feel like watching something silly, I never expect them to be any good. If they have some explosions and some cheesy one liners that makes me laugh it's good enough.

I have to admit that I've never seen a Van Damme that I actually liked. I've only watched 3-4 movies with him in the leading role but Stallone/Arnie action movies are way better in my opion.
Dammit I even liked Kindergarten Cop but Bloodsport or Timecop just bore me.
Van Damme just doesn't have the screen presence like Stallone or Arnie, he is just one in the second row of "Action Heroes".

Maybe one day one of his films will change my opinion ^^
