Popularity doesn't mean that much because popularity shows quality of the past, not of the present or future. Season 2 was not quality. It was uneventful, boring and meaningless, imo. The Walking Dead was popular because season 1 was a hit and millions of viewers were going to watch anyway. At least the latter half of season two picked up a bit.

At least I have a team that I can proudly claim to have been a loyal fan of my whole life. What happens when LeBron gets injured? Do you just sort of stop watching basketball? What happens when he retires? You just gonna be done with basketball or are you going to bandwagon the next best player in the league claiming to have been a fan your whole life?
