Based on your posts on these movies, I could see that coming :D

Yeah, tastes differ, that's just the way it is...

Well I guess it was not my cup of tea. Missed some continuity, which I guess is what the director wanted to achieve. It feels like you get from one setpiece to another without a proper connection. It offerd some nice pictures though, especially the dream sequences, which I surely will remember.

I liked it a lot, but even though it's often held as Fellini's best film, I personally think Amarcord is better (or at least I enjoyed it more).

Pantaleón y las visitadoras (aka Captain Pantoja and the Special Services) (1999)

Cute movie. A light comedy about prostitution in the peruvian army... it's not a great film and the story line is full of clichés, but it has some good moments and over all it delivers entertainment.

Yeah it's great. Morally amibigous, fantastic acting and superbly shot. One of Ingrid Bergmans best films I think.

Yeah I realy loved it and in my opinion it's perfect in every way or form.

City Lights

I think Modern Times and The Great Dictator are better Chaplin movies, but I enjoyed City Lights, it's charming and fun to watch. Probably the most memorable scene is the boxing fight which personally is my highlight of the movie. And of course the ending, which is realy beautiful.
Still have to watch The Kid and The Gold Rush, realy looking forward in seeing those but I don't have the desire to see his entire filmography.
