Beau Hunks (1931)

A Laurel and Hardy film, where they both get sent to war. Some fun moments, but the comedy felt outdated for the most part.

Spring Breakers (2012)

I liked it. It uses excess and exaggeration to create an honest portrayal of a lifestyle, mixing drama and satirical comedy. Some parts are too slow and the narration I have mixed feeling about the parts that are narrated (it does give a nice insight on the characters, but some of them seem unnecessary and add little to the movie), which make the film seem longer than it is, but my over all impression of the movie is definitely positive. I also liked the movie's neutral/ambiguous moral approach on the subject, letting the viewers judge for themselves. But my favourite part was the characters, especially James Franco's.

So I dedicated my Sunday to the "Three Clolours" Trilogy

Blue - Good
White - Decent
Red - Great

They won't change my life nor will they ruin me for future movies but I kinda liked all of them. They have nice imagery, great atomsphere and a fantastic soundtrack. I like how they captured the urban lifestyle of all three different locations and that they give you room for your own interpretations.
The acting is convincing and each main protagonist is very good at transporting the different vibe of each movie.
Good movies and worth watching.

Ivanovo detstvo (aka Ivan's Childhood) (1962)

Well, there's more of a plot here than in other Tarkovsky movies I've seen (Zerkalo and Stalker), and that might make it my favourite of his films so far. Good cinematography and good movie. I liked it even though these kind of films aren't my cup of tea. Some parts are excessively slow though... tbh I've yet to watch a Tarkovsky movie were I haven't checked at least once how much more of the movie was left.

Well I guess it was not my cup of tea. Missed some continuity, which I guess is what the director wanted to achieve. It feels like you get from one setpiece to another without a proper connection. It offerd some nice pictures though, especially the dream sequences, which I surely will remember.
