The Howling (1981)
Ok-ish werewolf horror. Simple but entertaining; the downside is that it feels somewhat outdated... it helped modernize the whole werewolf genre giving it a deeper story, and it was the first movie to show the full process of transformation (until then movies had just shown the person growling, then cut to a shot where he was partly transformed, then cut a more transformed shot and so on... the scenes in this movies are continuous and show the changes happening, which created impact on the viewers back then), so I give it credit for that, but it hasn't aged too well.
The Howling 2: Stirba the Werewolf Bitch (1985)
Now, looking at the movies name, I was expecting either a softcore porn or a comedy-horror. I had the feeling this was going to be crap, but it starred Christopher Lee, so I decided to give it a shot... ugh, I really shouldn't have. The movie isn't a comedy horror (and it most definitely isn't a porn either, although there was some mild nudity), but it unintentionally makes a joke out of itself by being plain awful. Terrible story, acting, scripting, special effects, everything. They go on train from LA to Transylvania. Awesome. And of course, the people of Romania speak english instead of romanian... so yeah, terrible movie.
I have seen the first and the third and while the first one is decent, the third is a complete turd. Do yourself a favour and stay away!
