I watched Memento! It used to be one of my favorite films and it's still enjoyable but I don't think it holds up. The best thing about it, besides it's fragmented narrative, is the fact that it serves as an entry point to idealism. When I was a teenager the film blew my mind but now the ideas presented aren't fresh anymore so it's not as mindblowing.

Still enjoyable, rates 7 / 10

I watched Memento!

Haven't there been some rumors about a remake? I mean Memento isn't that old...

Adjust your tracking is godly!

ChuzzeL you should check out Cinemania if you want to watch a really baller documentary about really baller movie nerds. It's one of my all time favorite films, any category.

Sounds promising, I'll check it out.

Ninja Scroll

Sex, Gore, Violence and good Action. Pretty boring in the middle but still a fun watch.

Yeah, Hollywood keeps remaking everything but I don't really care. I've heard they're also remaking two of my favorite films, Suspiria and Umberto D. but I'm not watching those either.

I mean a remake doesn't harm or take away the original. It's still odd because Memento came out in the year 2000, is perfect for what it is and it's an American production. Usually they remake older stuff or foreign films.

Yeah, I feel you, and it's pretty strange indeed. Memento has a pretty indie / low-budget vibe to it, perhaps they feel like it could reach new audience if they make it feel more like a Hollywood thing with faster cuts, more lightning, more music, better actors and so on.

Hollywood remaking things doesn't bother me because, you like you said, remakeks does't take away from the original. However, I usually don't watch them.

I watched Andrei Rublev but I didn't like it.

The Bridge on the River Kwai - Man I realy don't know with this one. David Lean's Lawrence of Arabia was way better in my opinion.

I'm being 100% serious here, Nostalghia and Stalker are really great films but The Room is a masterpiece which I hold slightly higher. Ivan and Rublev I don't like.

I'm looking forward to Offret! My blu-ray should be arriving in 1-2 weeks.
