I might be wrong, but none of these things happened, it was just in his mind, wasn't it? :o

SPOILERS:

I'm pretty sure the laundry scene did happen, otherwise it would be pointless to add it into the movie. The murders definitely didn't (although I guess there's no real evidence he didn't kill the homeless man, but it wouldn't make sense if he only killed him)

The African Queen (1951)

So, a John Huston film starring Katherine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart, I knew this couldn't go wrong. A fun mix of adventure, comedy and romance, wrapped up in that olden Hollywood innocence. Calling it a masterpiece as many seem to do is an exaggeration imo, but it's definitively a very solid piece of entertainment with nice performances by the two leading actors.

Bleeder

Second Refn film, gritty realism. Very well done and well recommended to fans of Pusher.

Love or hate American psycho. Either way the business card monologue is one of the best scenes in all of films imo.

Also I might be wrong but I don't think the point if the twist at the end was for you to think everything was fake, but more to not really know what happened and what didn't. Some things are more obvious, but some aren't.

If the events in American Psycho really happened or not is completely irrelevant to the overall message of the film that's why I never bothered to think about it. The most important themes are consumerism and hedonism. If Bale's character is a murderer or a complete looney doesn't really make that much difference. Either way he's an asshole, just like all of his friends and their wives.

That's true. I really liked the dark comedy in the portrayal of the character and the bubble he lives in.
