Yeah, the soundtrack is superb. Of those movies I liked Jin-Roh and GitS, but I didn't like GitS 2 and Akira. Shame I don't enjoy these movies as much as it seems I should, it might be because I don't love cyberpunk as much as everyone else seems to love it :/

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, taste is different you know ^^

Looking forward in seeing ghost in the shell 2 and the tv show, heard good things of them.
Although they don't look as good as the first one. The Bluray realy shines here and let's you appreciate the immense amount of detail they put into it. Same goes for Akira.

Damn I love Akira, I had the pleasure in seeing it last year in a theatre with hundrets of other nerds, it was a blast.
They realy nailed the mystery/meta human stuff which I think is realy rare.
Soundtrack, look and feel just works for me.
As for Ghost in the shell, probably one of my favorite in terms of atmosphere, just hearing the soundtrack gives me goosebumps.

Jin Roh had a nice setting and an interesting story, watched it with german dubs, which is as usual damn good but it didn't fit the story since they ignored all the german nazi stuff. seems like everyone is fine with our history excpet us ^^
will give it another shot with the original sound and judge it again.

Lawrence of Arabia ( 228 min - director's cut). Damn, realy one of the most gorgeous movies ever put on film and it deserves the classification as a masterpiece in every way.
One little nitpick is that I think Peter O'Toole's acting wasn't that great. Lawrence as a character needed a more subtle approach, thought he was overacting from time to time.

Blasphemy!

we have incredible voice actors, no shame in watching a dubbed version.

Brothers Bloom - pretty cool movie, I like Adrien Brody, the style remineds me of Wes Anderson films
Turbo Kid - it's ok, I guess someone else would like it more, it's just a dumb gore filled splatter ride with 80s charme in it.
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension - normally I love old cheesy Sci-Fi movies, but not this one
Metoroporisu - decent, would have been better with a darker, more gritty animation style to fit the tone

Jibeuro (aka The Way Home) (2002)

A korean drama film about the relationship between a kid and his grandma. Mediocre imo. It's not bad, but it doesn't offer much... I don't think it's as emotional as the director pretended it to be, and it mixes up a slow pace with a sudden development in the relationship between characters that seems off to me.
