Yeah, that's the only Bergman film I found to be boring. Even though he makes tons of emotionally cold films, this one felt even more so and it just didn't work for me.

Yeah. I felt like every character was under-developed. There are standout scenes and Ullman was great but I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to take away from it.

Domingo de Carnaval (1945)

Old spanish crime/comedy movie. The acting is bad and the the humour is outdated for the most part, but it's still ok. It was considered a very good comedy at the time here, but the standards were pretty low after a Civil War and the enforcement of massive censorship in the film industry, so it hasn't aged that well.

Blow, great.
Ides of March, pretty good, entertaining political thriller
Jin-Roh, expected more from the makers of Akira and Ghost in the Shell, it's "ok"
Tekkon kinkurîto, very good, if only the movie could hook you more on an emotional level it would be great.

I actually saw Jin.Roh last week :D

Personally I liked it better than Akira and GitS, which I never really liked. I know I'm probably the only one to feel this way... I really couldn't get into Akira, although I really enjoyed the soundtrack.

Mèng Yǐng Tóngnián (aka Electric Shadows) (2004)

A simple yet effective drama and slice of life. It's a bit shallow and not the most memorable thing to come out of China, but it still delivered without needing to come up with something deep. The movie also shows passion for movies, and that's always nice. I enjoyed this.

Damn I love Akira, I had the pleasure in seeing it last year in a theatre with hundrets of other nerds, it was a blast.
They realy nailed the mystery/meta human stuff which I think is realy rare.
Soundtrack, look and feel just works for me.
As for Ghost in the shell, probably one of my favorite in terms of atmosphere, just hearing the soundtrack gives me goosebumps.

Jin Roh had a nice setting and an interesting story, watched it with german dubs, which is as usual damn good but it didn't fit the story since they ignored all the german nazi stuff. seems like everyone is fine with our history excpet us ^^
will give it another shot with the original sound and judge it again.

Lawrence of Arabia ( 228 min - director's cut). Damn, realy one of the most gorgeous movies ever put on film and it deserves the classification as a masterpiece in every way.
One little nitpick is that I think Peter O'Toole's acting wasn't that great. Lawrence as a character needed a more subtle approach, thought he was overacting from time to time.
