The Jazz Singer (1927)
Considered as the first ever talkie, it's more of a silent movie with songs and a few other voiced sentences. Was ok; probably a forgettable film had it not been the first non-silent movie.
Interesting aswell the dated blackface humour. Staged black faced performances and jokes like "is that Jackie under that makeup? - Well, he sounds like Jackie, but he looks more like his shadow", were fine back then but would be considered way beyond inappropriate by today's standards
