Whiplash 10/10

I watched withces of eastwick with Jack Nicholson, Susan Sarandon and Cher(!).

It's a comedy about three blasé middleaged women in a quiet idyllic town who engages in lustful and sinful activities with the forces of evil (embodied by Jack Nicholson)
This film is very influenced by litterature from the romantic era as shown by the many contrasts present in the film. Contrasts between rural quiet life and urban life, vice / virtue, good / evil, pain / lust etc.

Overall it's a somewhat funny 80's comedy which tries to be something more and only halfway succeeds. It's not essential but it's a must watch for Jack Nicholson fans or fans of 80's comedy I think.

Last year at Marienbad.

Some weird shit. Two unreliable narrators delivering conflicting narratives in a weird chateu. Also the ending is inconlusive and the building itself is possibly a metaphor for a mental hiding place or marriage problems or who the fuck knows

Anyway great film.

Detropia

Documentary about the decline of Detroit.
Not informative enough and the interviewed subjects are too retarded to provide any useful insight. "Hurr durr capitalism" "Hurr durr globalization"

Try Berlin Calling, not realy a documentary, more like a biopic of a german techno artist.
