Adaptions of popular things are almost always shit because the name guarantee you have a big amount of people that will go see it no matter how bad it is. For that reason there's no need to make a good film.
I never watch these type of films unless there's overwhelming evidence the filmmakers actualy gave a shit about the product.
There was, the director fought hard to have it made. Talked a car company into letting him film a commercial for a proof of concept to help get the movie made. The original writer supposedly worked very closely with the director.
The Titans were amazing and there were like 2-3 spot on things, but most of it was trash. I realize you need to change things to make it fit into a movie, but what they changed didn't make the movie better and also didn't even need to be changed. It is frustrating, all character motivation and the spirit and heart of the show seemed to go out the window.
