my hope is that the entire season 1 is just build up. GoT did that very well for S1. set the scene, introduce the characters and their motivations, create a general sense of mystery around some characters, then end the season with a what the fuck just happened ball drop. preferably on the very last scene of the very last episode. no preview at all of s2 to follow.

they've got that more or less thusfar. galadriels actions dont matter as much now than showing who she is. elrond same. harfeet same. show who they are and not with much care for if it fits the later lore.

once the war in earnest starts to happen that's when the shit really starts to matter lore wise. because we've seen it on screen in lotr. what isildur does matters a LOT after sauron falls. what elrond does in the war matters. this now is just filler.

does it fit? no. can they make this fit with what matters in the cannon? yes. who gets rings, how those rings were made, how they mobilize vs sauron, etc. all of that can fit with what we have now.

1st ep. goblin/orc peeks though the floor board is a good scare.

does feel like a GoT spin off more than LOTR or HOBBIT!

dark elf that was imprisoned was the best part i see him in good movies too come. hes the diamond in the rough.

They probably spent 80% on cgi and cinematography instead of substance. Much like today's games. There maybe like 1 or 2 decent games that came out in the last 7 years.
I am struggling to think of 1 really good movie or TV series since breaking bad or game of thrones. Maybe Better call Saul?

it just feels like got. even has a blonde chichka, they both hot but derrr... not LORT.. hobbit 3 was rated R i have it on a 2 disc dvd they cut orcs heads off left an right! and giant sand worms with the main bad guy fight, one of the elves is from matrix mr.smith

Another good episode. That Balrog scene was awesome. Durin cracked me up finessing Gil-galad out of that dope table

reveal that Galadriel is Sauron. The real Galadriel got captured and replace after being separated from her men in the snowy area at the beginning of Ep1

He is miscast the role doesn't suit him tbh. He would of been better as a human.

Galadriel showing off sword skill is so cringe, the queen regent playing game of thrones. I honestly think the show would instantly improve if you cut them out.
Durin/Elrond scene with the table was great though those 2 have been carrying the show thus far.

On a side note the mysterious stranger is one of the blue wizarsI am sure of it. (my money on saruman).

Sauron is definetly Halbrand or at least one of his shapeshifting clones

saruman isn't a blue wizard.

I really hope they don't end up having him being Gandalf or Saruman. It would be really stupid of them doing something that weird that goes against the lore.

The blue Wizards really don't have much written about them (that I know of) so they should have some creative liberties with them.
