There's was tons of bullying and harrassment in the show.........not quite sure why the clear messages didn't get across to you.

The show focuses on how harrassment and bullying can hurt someone, whether suicide is the result or not. It's sad, but there are many people in today's society that treat others with complete disrespect and don't understand that it is not okay.

Don't really feel like arguing about this again. I feel strongly about this show and you can read the last dozen pages about the points I made.

he clearly didn't watch the entire show, prolly had some othershit while running on another monitor. Only way to explain that he missed all those bullying and harassment.

Like I said there is a lot of bullying in the show, just most of it isn't towards the girl who supposedly killed herself because of bullying. And literally all of the other bullying is completely ignored which is totally fucked up and why I don't think there is any way anyone can claim this to be an anti-bullying show.

It's ignored because it's ignored in real life.

........that's the problem..........

Accountability is not happening.

This show isn't meant to be a magical show with a happy ending. It's meant to show realisms on how high school students treat each other and how it can hurt them.

There wasn't really any bullying in the show.

There was rape and attempted rape and stalking which are all a felony.
Her parents were having money issues which seemed like a tipping point for her decision when she lost the money.
There was how she reacted to others because of the attempted rape.
And everything else was basically people just calling her hot, which yeah it's harassment. And two friend backstabbing her, which sucks I agree but I don't think you could call her best friend slapping her because of the list/boyfriend thing bullying.

And yes I know people go through and perceive things differently but something everyone has in common is how real we act when we are alone. She acts normal as fuck alone.

Also I don't think the show was anti-bullying at all. The shit that happens to the photographer kid is way closer to traditional bullying than what happens to the girl and they never even talk about it like it is an issue, they basically hint that he deserves it because of his part in her suicide which is fucked up. Plus all the "bullies" save for 2 were more focused on how the tapes could fuck up their lives rather than being remorseful that they drove a girl to kill herself.

They hint at her previous town being a bad place for her because of bullying, maybe if they got more into that...

I personally think the main message is how her death affected Clay. Like if you kill yourself you will seriously fuck up those around you that care about you so maybe try getting help? The thing that is repeated the most is 'we could have saved her'. I think that is the message they are trying for. But they do it so sloppily that all these other negative things pop up along the way. Imo.

did i offend you so much to call me an idiot for not reading ur walls of text?

Ignoring the bullying in an anti-bullying show lol ok. The girl who killed herself was probably the least bullied kid on the show. It is an extremely heavy handed attempt at an unclear message. I think it could have been thought out better if it wanted to push the anti-bullying agenda.

If they wanted an anti-bullying show they should have made the kids who bullied actually get emotional over her death and not just worried about how it could effect their own lives. All of them are portrayed as sociopaths. If they wanted an anti-bullying show they shouldn't have ignored literally all the other bullying that was going on. If they wanted an anti-bullying show they should have steared far away from rape. Rape shouldn't have even been a thing that was considered. Lumping it in with bullying is so fucked up I don't even know where to start.

But as I said, the strongest parts of the show are Clay's emotions and how fucked up he gets. Which is why I think it is anti-suicide.

Considering I went on to explain what happened to the girl who killed herself and how other people got bullied way more than her I clearly meant barely any bullying towards her. But sure I should have been more clear.

e: justifies my previous comment even more. Try reading things fully if you want to butt in to a conversation, rather the taking things out of context.

Refer to my previous posts on the reason Hannah committed suicide.

Otherwise, we interpreted these shows completely differently.

Justifies my question to be answered even more. Did I offend u so much to call me an idiot for not reading Ur walls of text? I'll take that as a yes.

Also how did I take it out of context? u literally wrote "There wasn't really any bullying in the show." yet you meant others were bullied more and u only meant Hanna wasn't really bullied? Wtf does that suppose to mean? She clearly was.

You're the one taking it out of context. You can definitely have your own opinion and views about the show, and I agree what you said about affecting others like clay etc. But to say hannah wasn't bullied is wtf m8

People who are decent human beings like it.

People who are robots do not.
