Those vehicles wouldn't fit down streets so that's just dumb. Not to mention no turning circle. In your idiotic mind you just picture the infected all neatly lined up in a big open space waiting to be run over.

The infected are spread out, in buildings, sewers and tunnels. The most effective way to kill en masse is to lure them into a kill box. They did this in episode 2 with the grenades. They also did it effectively in the Walking Dead with the meat grinder. But those are situational, you can't take them with you on the move.

Open highways are a thing, parks, sports fields at schools have plenty of space, the airports, there is nothing that says you have to do it in the heart of metropolis with big skyscrapers lol. Those machines are capable of running over residential houses. You also don't need a lot of space just drive in a circle zombies are dumb af.

Luring zombies into closed spaces is smart way to eliminate them in small numbers. The most effective/efficient method isn't what I am driving at, the main point is it's relatively easy to kill all the zombies if one were to put a little effort. These zombie worlds in game or movies do a very poor job of eradicating them to the point you have to ask are they even trying?

I can understand if zombies have superpowers like resident evil to mutate and shit and evil super villain organisation making endless amount of them every day. But this is just pathetic

You need to stick to nature documentaries or something, this is one of the saddest tales I’ve ever seen and you should never be viewing any fictional media

Don't be mad that I have an opinion regarding the zombie apocalypse. Pointing out how pathetic and incompetent the inhabitants of that world are. I am fully aware of the " this is a fantasy world " and can still enjoy the series.

If you are triggered by my practical solutions then cry into this cup. Ill drink your tears later.

Tanks don't require insane amount of knowledge to operate lol. You don't need to fire, position cannon etc or anything complicated just start and drive with levers like any other big machine you doofus. Besides there is bound to be a few army survivors who would know how to operate it anyway. Tanks are designed to go over mud, rough terrain.

I was just pointing out one of many vehicles capable of mincing through zombies. I bet you I go down to a nearest quarry/refuse center/forestry development or any large construction site. and pick myself a nice big truck, bulldozer. I drive diggers so it's natural for me. Give me an hour in any one of the big machines I'll mince up thousands of zombies. This is one of many many ways you can easily clean up the streets. You can easily plow through the streets mowing cars and trucks including. Soft rotting zombies don't even stand a chance. Not everyone is as useless as you.

I didn't say operate, I said maintain. The fact that you can't even keep a simple single sentence straight kind of proves my point.

You proved nothing merely a distraction through word play. Maintaining a tank doesn't take insane amounts of sophistication. It's a essentially a armor plated bulldozer with a cannon. I already pointed out one does not need to operate or in this case maintain its weaponry and defense systems just top up diesel/oil/hydraulic fluid to keep the wheels turning. A simple youtube should give you a routine, any random mechanic would be able to figure it out in 30mins.what you are talking about troubleshooting and fixing intricate systems and running diagnostics for optimal performance. Most battle ready tanks are set to go. Turn the engine on and drive. A new or serviced tank won't need much maintenance. It would take maybe a month up to a year to eradicate the zombies don't need it to last longer then that.

You are making it way more complicated than it is. If one doesn't work get another, that doesn't work get a bulldozer, digger, a big tractor with a front loader will do the trick. You are finding excuses cause you can't stand the fact that other people are not as useless as you. We do not hide behind mommy's skirt we find a way and get it done. Go tuck yourself into your crib as you fall asleep crying about a sad anime you watched.

A tank takes about 400-500 gallons of Diesel and does about 0.6 miles per gallon. It would run for a few hours then it's gone, you can't refill it. Petrol stations are refilled daily, when they are empty in a situation like this, it's over. Even when Covid happened we saw petrol stations temporarily close due to panic buying and abnormally high demand.

You also can't Youtube anything, there is no internet.

Your suggestions are completely unfeasible, that's why you never see anything like that depicted on these types of shows/movies. There are finite resources, people in the first few days/months will loot everything. Nothing new is being produced, mined or extracted. Daily life would be looking for todays meal and trying to scrounge a weapon and some bullets here and there, maybe occasionally syphoning a vehicle for a litre of fuel if you're lucky, to run a generator for
a short time.

But sure, tell us how you would eradicate all the infected billions in the world by driving a tank or tractor around. As I said before, they are not lined up in open areas in single file waiting to be mowed down, they are mostly in buildings, sewers and tunnels. You might see 1 or 2 randomly in an open field, nothing worth driving a tank around for hours for.

If you would've read the full quora article that you only glanced at the first sentence of you would see that the idea a tank is just "an armor plated bulldozer" is actually denied at the end of the writing.

The caterpillar treads are the easiest part of the tank to break and break fairly often, if you have engine problems you have to have the equipment to pull the entire engine out of the tank and then know how to repair it, not to mention most modern US tanks run on jet fuel not diesel... So good luck finding that laying around.

Let's pretend there is no amount of zombies that could bog the tank down. You're going to run into supply chain issues day 1. Your tank is going to be overrun and covered in zombie guts, and while this might not stop the tank it means you no longer have any of your cooling vents so the people inside will die of heat and the engine is going to blow up.

Edit: also if you try to use construction equipment zombies are just going to climb on the back/sides and kill you.

Didn't they drop bombs around infected areas in the Last of Us and in other zombie movies that's another common tactic but without the complete use of Nuclear weapons it's not effective at killing all the infected and makes the terrain pretty unnavigable given all the rubble.
