da fak.
Anyway I just watched Scent of a Woman o.O the last time I saw it was like back in 97 :s
oh and
I gotta agree 100% on this tho
Scent of a Woman is a good movie as well.
But as for Platoon (I guess I'll go into details now that I know somebody cares)..
1. A lot of bad acting
2. Poor dialogue, even for a war movie. All they talk about is drugs and killing, and getting revenge on the captain
3. The plot suggests that it would include a LOT of character development, but you never really get close to any of the characters. It comes close, but
it needed more.4. Not long enough for this kind of movie
I really liked Full Metal Jacket though. It was short, but the characters were developed quickly, it keeps you entertained throughout, and it has you thinking about it afterwards.
On the topic of Vietnam movies, I'm going to rewatch Apocalypse Now sometime.
edit: I would watch Platoon again probably, but I still feel it's overrated and I've definitely seen better.
