To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
Words can't express how amazing this movie is, how amazing the story and book are. Even though the movie had a few minor flaws and could have been longer, the way it leaves you feeling after it's over can make any man cry. I remember reading this book and watching the movie in the 7th grade, but I sure as hell didn't feel the same way towards it then (probably because I skipped like every other chapter and used spark notes or summaries to pass the tests).
20/10. I'm sure this has been viewed by nearly everyone living in America over the age of 15, but just in case you haven't, read the book and watch the movie. I can't recommend this high enough.
edit: And I'm sure most people disliked it or found it boring if they were assigned this book in English class. Give it another chance, this is just amazing.
