So it wasn't a red herring after all, it's looking to be a direct adaptation of the comic book alchemy where they changed Albert Desmond into Julien Albert. They just added the Savitar thing.

Also, godspeed and the god of speed are two different characters.

dc is so predictable, i knew they were gonna mess the show up after season 2 just like they did arrow. im letting this season play out maybe even wait until this whole season is over before i decide to start watching it. from what iv read in reviews so far its pretty lame.

Savitar isnt tapping into the Speedforce like Barry/Zoom/Reverse Flash. He's trapped in the Speedforce. That's why when he picks up Barry we get the special effects as if he's in the speedforce. Which we only see when he's carrying Barry.
It explains why only Barry can see him, because he's connected to the Speedforce. It also explains why he would remember Flashpoint, he was protected from the change in the timeline by being outside of it and int he Speedforce. He's so much "faster" than Barry because Barry is only tapping into the Speedforce, while Savitar is currently living in it.
That's what his return is all about. Finding a way for him to exit the Speedforce and return to Earth-1. It still doesn't explain why Alchemy can see him. But I think that's more of a mystery with Alchemy than a mystery with Savitar. As Alchemy seems to have his own powers going on.
Oh! And it was most likely Savitar writing Alchemy all over the place to lead people to him! The more I think about this theory the more sense it makes.
Edit: Also he killed The Rival in prison. The Rival is a speedster like Barry, explaining both why The Rival could see him and possibly why Savitar could kill him.

Also I really like HR. But I really wish they would stop under powering Barry and give him his full speed.

Also super fucking annoyed that the little cunt shit actor is going to actually be Wally west in both name and powers. I was really hoping it would just be av Easter egg name thing and they would pull a rebirth to give us the real Wally west.

For everyone complaining about speedsters, have you read the comics? Or why don't you have the same complaint for arrow and all the bad guys being the same?

Or going even further, literally any show on television right now. "Oh another normal speed bad guy? How boring why don't they mix it up".

As much as I enjoy watching this show, I know deep down its purely for the nerd comic book fan feeling.

Like...the savitar "fight" was the first credible fight there's been on the show in a long ass time. When you have powers like the Flash, essentially every meta problem should be solved almost instantly.

After doing some googling and some math, if what the Internet says is true about how fast he goes in the show (~Mach 2) then he accelerates at 27.7 m/s^2 (using the distance of the super sonic punch) which is roughly 8x the acceleration of an average human. His arm would also accelerate at 8x the average amount given that his whole body moves at the same enhanced speed. It's been shown in the show that he can punch while running, so that would be a total acceleration in a punch that is 64x that of the average human.

The average human punches at ~1,000 N, making The Flash punch at around 64,000 N. It takes 4,000 N to break a femur and 2,300 to break a skull.
