There are a lot of big movies that try to deal with mental health issues and they just do a terrible job. As I said, I would be very surprised if they take on that issue in star wars.

you are throwing around the term mental health issues a little to much. No one said he would be depressed and/or suicidal or some shit. We are just talking about his past of murdering his father haunting him. I mean Star Wars has already done shit like this basically with images and voices. So they could make it just a bit darker

Luke in the cave confronting Vader - clearly a force thing
Rey being attracted to the lightsaber and having a vision - clearly a force thing
Kylo killing his father and then being 'haunted' by his actions(hallucinations etc) - clearly not a force thing, definitely more like some kind of mental break similar to PTSD.

The only way they could introduce it as a force thing is if it was part of his training. But somehow I don't see the dark side helping him confront and get over his daddy issues. That is definitely not a dark side thing.

Im not saying it has to be a force thing either. But he clearly has some issues as far as being pulled to both the dark and the light side. But arguing with you is to painful so Im gonna move on from the topic
