that would have the same effect almost as being on a boat: not enough zombies, no easy conflict to write about and after they've secured the island of few zombies, it becomes a bear gryll survivor thingy

Yeah and then it can end at season 2 instead of dragging until it becomes shit. Honestly they should have just fit the first ~5 minutes of season 2 into the end of season 1 and been done with it.
