Across the Pacific -- 1942

Very underwhelming War World II film. The "twists" were rather predictable and the romance between Bogart and the female lead, who's name I forget, was not compelling or even believable. The action scenes at the end remind me of the action scenes in XXX except they lack the over-the-top effects and such afforded by modern tech.

I got off of work early tonight so I went and saw Alex Cross.

Matthew Fox did a great job with the psychopath role.

On thing that irked me, though, was the camera work during the final fight scene... it was incredibly shaky at some points, almost couldn't follow what was going on. I don't know if they were trying to make you feel like you were in the fight or something but I didn't like it.

I'd give it a 6/10

Just watched Moneyball, and it was better than I was expecting. I'd give it a 9/10 because, hey, it's about baseball and statistics.
There are just too many football/basketball films about soul and working hard and other touchy crap like that.
