Or he's actually thinking smart and not trying to stir the hornet's nest. The world may be ending, but hershel is still Maggie's father. How do you think he'll react if he finds them shacking up together?

Hershel approved of him, gave Glenn his watch or w/e it was. (Can't remember right now)

It was a pocket watch which has been passed down I believe.

Actually, he gave consent to the relationship. That doesn't imply he would be okay with them sleeping in the same bed.
