12 Angry Men (1957)
9.75/10
Like I've said before, I don't like movies made before 1970, until I saw this. The movie is about 12 jurymen deciding a murder case. They are in a single room the entire movie, an hour and a half. You'd think that makes for a boring ass movie, but it doesn't. Incredible how it kept me interested considering my favorite movies usually have something to do w/ Crime (not like this one). While they were presenting their arguments throughout the movie, I actually found myself changing sides back and forth at least 3 different times.
****Spoiler****
I personally thought that the man who was up against the others in the beginning is the man who killed the boy's father. They had the same knife, and he was skeptical at first to argue because he didn't know what to say. He thought maybe it would backfire and they would accuse him of the murder. But he ended up building a strong case after remembering multiple flaws in the case and piecing them together, which changed the entire jury room's opinion to his side.
Incredible movie..anyone with the slightest good taste in movies needs to see this one ASAP. Watch it with an open mind, without distractions, and without stopping. You won't be disappointed. Would watch again in a heart beat.
btw, don't respond to my post unless you've got something decent to say.
