yeah I know everyone has their own opinion on movies, but imo your taste is a bit strange, love it or hate it, no problem but a 5/10 is something inbetween and imo this movie deserves more credit

What? Goodfellas is fucking awesome. It was funny, had an excellent story, perfect narration, a good message, good acting/characters overall and the closing minutes of the movie were incredible.

Today I did some Original vs Remake watching

somehow I managed to like the Remake more than the Original, which doesnt happen often to me. However both movies were indeed very good and are worth a watch!

Plein Soleil ( 1960 )

7.5/10

The talented Mr. Ripley ( 1999 )

8.5/10

Both movies are nicely done and have a nice pace. However imo the character building up and the story telling was done better in the remake. Ripley seemed more convincing to me in the 1999 version.

Almost everyone I know LOVES goodfellas and I think it was awesome. People these days are getting to the point where every movie has to be non-stop action or else it sucks.

Speaking of action though, in Shawshank the main character spent most of his time in a library throughout the movie... Sure he gets raped and beat up a couple times but you don't even see any of it. Don't get me wrong, it was a fantastic movie in my opinion, but basing whether a movie is good or not solely on action is just plain bad taste... That's why I'm not taking your side.
