His body went into a shock and later came back? What about his pulse, also stopped during the shock? If so... how did Dean not realize he still had a pulse. (it's the lil things that make a show/movie great)

They said his heart showed enough to make it seem like he didn't have a pulse, which is a real thing that can happen which is why taking a pulse is not medically relevant when declaring death.

If a pulse is slowed it doesn't beat as hard and it can be hard to detect.

And improperly strangling someone can result in that very situation.

i think it was pretty clear Amara sent Castiel to the cage to specifically free Lucifer for some reason I couldn't see Castiel or Jimmy Novak allowing Lucifer to use him as a vessel, cause I don't think Lucifer has any chance of tackling the darkness .

The curse from the mark that was used to lock the darkness away was enough to corrupt Lucifer although i Amara doesn't seem invincible that attack from the entirety of heaven did weaken her, but I honestly think that would of disintegrated Lucifer in to tiny speckles of dust.

Great episode that has opened a load of questions.
